Our quality installations coupled with our industry expertise are just the beginning of your new flooring investment. With routine maintenance you will protect your new floors and maintain the manufacturers warranty all the while prolonging the beauty and wear of your floors for years to come.
For cleaning make sure you...
- Clean spills and spots as soon as they happen. For tough spots, such as gum, oil, paint, lipstick, ink, or cigarette marks, use acetone/nailpolish remover or mineral spirits on a white clean cloth, then wipe with a damp cloth. Always avoid allowing liquids to stand on your floor.
- Sweep or dust the floor regularly to prevent accumulation of dirt that can scratch or dull the floor finish.
- Periodically clean the floor with a hard surfaces flooring cleanser that is approved for your type of floor. These cleansers can be found in the Janitorial section of all major home improvement stores.
While cleaning is easy, there are a few things to avoid:
- Do not use oil based, wax, polish, or strong ammoniated or abrasive cleansers.
- Do not wash or wet-mop the floor with soap, water, oil based detergent, or any other liquid cleaning material. Doing so could cause swelling, warping, delamination, and joint -line separation, and void the warranty.
- Do not use any type of buffing machine
